Did you know?

Every year, the Southwestern Wisconsin Community Action Program (SWCAP) supports the needs of thousands of families in southwestern Wisconsin.  SWCAP is people helping people.  The types of support we offer is guided by the advice and input of people in southwestern Wisconsin – people like you – through something called a “Community Needs Assessment.”

Asking 15 minutes of your time

SWCAP is asking you to take 15 minutes to give us your advice and input by taking our Community Needs Assessment survey.  You’ll find links to the survey below.  Just click on the link.  The survey is anonymous.  We don’t ask your name.  You are NOT being asked for money.

What happens?

SWCAP uses your advice and input – along with input from other survey-takers – to plan and guide programs, services and projects that most closely match the needs and concerns of people in southwestern Wisconsin.

For example:

SWCAP supports families in southwestern Wisconsin with more than 20 different types of programs.  Programs such as:

  • Head Start early childhood education
  • Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition
  • Farm Well Wisconsin – supporting the needs of southwestern Wisconsin farmers, farm families and farm workers through challenging times

As well as special projects that Invest in southwestern Wisconsin communities, such as:

  • The Lancaster Senior Village – senior housing development
  • The Meadows – soon-to-open farm worker housing project in Darlington

What’s next?

Your advice and input helps determine future of SWCAP program and service offerings, and the next community development projects.

By October 1, 2022, SWCAP will publish the results of the Community Needs Assessment on its website.  Check www.swcap.org for the report that includes your input.
