COMET sponsored by the Monroe Public Library

January 28, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

We all live in a vulnerable space at one time or another – and for one reason or another. COMET aims to change the trajectory of someone in that vulnerable space headed towards crisis back towards a place of wellness. A critical factor in changing someone’s trajectory is often another person who says or does something that offers support, care, or treatment and causes a positive change.

In the training, you

  • Learn a natural way to talk with a friend, a neighbor, or an acquaintance about difficult topics.
  • Learn a conversational guide and the importance of being “the other person.”
  • Practice the COMET intervening questions, and plan how you will use COMET to have conversations about another’s well-being.

In-Person – Monroe Public Library, 2nd floor meeting room. No fee.
Pre-registration is required – https://docs.google.com/forms/d/13ABLxZpMFmJJOOuh8tVC-Z901_cQ1LQyv3b1-E8mbJg/prefill.
