Nurse Careers

Considering a career in the nursing field? With so many education choices close to home, SWCAP may be able to help. Look at the qualified programs below, and funding that may be available to you, if you qualify. Take the next step to get more information or complete an application.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled or considering enrollment in a career-approved course of study leading to increased wages, and full-time employment after graduation
  • Maintain employment eligibility averaging 20 hours per week
  • Awards average between $1,000 to $2,000 per year, dependent on funding
  • Good academic standing
  • Reside in Iowa, Grant, Green, Richland, or Lafayette counties
  • Income guidelines apply, 150% Federal Poverty Level (FPL)

Qualifications

  • Enrolled or considering enrollment in the following Programs
    • Certified Nurse Assistant
    • Medical Assistant
    • First Year Nurse with LPN Certification
    • 2 Year Associate Nurse
    • or BSN 4-year Nurse
  • Program completion date by June 30, 2025
  • Up to $24,000 Tuition funding, and $1,000 in school-related expenses available over the course of study
  • Good academic standing
  • Must reside in Iowa, Grant, Green, Richland, Lafayette, or Sauk counties
  • Income guidelines apply, 80% of County Median Income
